Three new butterfly species discovered in Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park!

The African Natural History Research Trust recently identified three new butterfly species in the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park, located in northern Republic of Congo: Falcuna nouabaleensis, Anthene sangha, and Neurellipes smithi.

Butterflies are key indicators of forest health.

These discoveries enhance our understanding of the biodiversity in this region, nestled between the Sangha and Congo Rivers, and highlight the importance of conserving these ecosystems.
